From urban allotments to country castles and from big, mature gardens to small cottage gardens, we have wonderful gardens open for charity, all around Scotland.

Support our charity

We support garden owners to open their gardens, raising valuable funds for charity through garden gate tickets, plant sales and teas.

Supported by a small staff team, we are nearly 98% volunteer-led with around 200 core volunteers, as well as our many generous garden openers, nearing 500 gardens each year. The money raised through our openings support about 250 different charities every year.

Scotland’s Gardens Scheme is a charity in its own right and supporting our organisation will help us to continue and improve our volunteer support and develop our garden opening programme for all to enjoy.

Supporting SGS also helps us to give more to our core beneficiary charities, who we are proud to support - the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland, Perennial and Maggie’s.

If you would like to help support Scotland’s Gardens Scheme, please consider making a regular donation.

If you would like to donate by cheque, you can do so by post to: Scotland’s Gardens Scheme, 23 Castle Street, Edinburgh EH2 3DN
